  Mrs. Amy Cook  

K-12 Vocal Music 

 

I am originally from Bloomfield, IA and graduated from Davis Co. High School where I was involved in everything possible in music.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Music Education.  In college I majored in trombone and played in many ensembles such as Wind Symphony, Orchestra, Jazz Band, and spent 5 years in the Panther Marching Band where I was a drum major of the band for three.  I also worked at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan for 5 summers.  I spent 2 summers as a counselor, 2 as a unit director, and the final summer I had the honor of being selected to tour Europe for three weeks with the International Choir as a counselor and faculty performer with the group. 

I have taught band for 12 years and I am looking forward to the excitement and challenge my first year teaching vocal music.
