About Mrs. Schutjer
I was born and raised in the North Iowa area. I graduated from W-CL-T and then attended North Iowa Area Community College. I transferred to Buena Vista University and earned my B.A. in Elementary Education. I have a reading endorsement, middle school endorsement, and a coaching endorsement. I have taught middle school language arts, reading and science. I currently teach middle school language arts and 6th grade academic technology. I also work as the curriculum director for North Iowa.
I live with my husband, Alex, and three boys outside of Lakota. Alex graduated from North Iowa and is a farmer. Drew is 5 and in K-prep. Sam is 4 and attends preschool. Grant, the baby, turned one in June. I love spending time with my family, and the three (actually 4) boys keep me on my toes.
