Mrs. Larsen graduated from UNI with a degree in Vocational Home Economics Education. She has 37 years of experience teaching FCS classes in Titonka, Woden-Crystal Lake, and North Iowa at the middle school and high school levels.

Mrs. Larsen and her husband Paul reside on a farm between Titonka and Burt. Paul is a farmer and a rural mail carrier, working out of the Algona Post Office. The Larsens have two children, Erica, age 27 and Martin, age 24. Both of them have graduated from college.

Erica graduated from Yale with a degree in Biology in '06, and now works as a lab technician at the AGP biodiesel plant at Algona. Martin graduated with a degree in AG and Biosystems Engineering from Iowa State in '10, and is now a manufacturing engineer for Spray Control Systems in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
