Parent/Teacher Conferences are 
Tuesday, March 27th and Thursday, March 28th!
I will be in pre-scheduled conferences on both days from 4:00-5:45PM, but will be available for "open" conferences from 6:00-8:00PM in the North Gym. 
Come support our NIHS Competition Cheerleading Squad by bring the family for a meal: Sloppy Joes on a bun, chips, dessert and a drink!

Welcome to Mrs. Recker's Class!

 

This webpage will tell you a bit about me, my family, and link you to the classes I teach!

My name is Gabrielle Recker and I began teaching at North Iowa in 2008. I teach English 10 and various English electives each semester. I am also the high school Student Council Adviser since 2009. I thoroughly enjoy helping students be advocates for their school and themselves and working to see that it be the best experience for them.

In December of 2004 I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (Go Panthers!) and accepted my first teaching job at Allamakee Community School District in Waukon, Iowa. For two years I taught seventh grade and two sections of high school English electives, as well as served as the co-adviser for the high school student council and assistant director for the musical.

 

In 2007, my husband Jeff & I relocated to Britt when he accepted the high school principal position at West Hancock. I spent the 07-08 school year substitute teaching and was very excited when the opportunity came up to teach at North Iowa.

We have three children at home: Brody, who will be in Kindergarten this year, Callie, who will be in 4-year old preschool, & Grace, who is two and keeps us all on our toes at home!
