Winnebago County Task Force

Coordinator Position Open:

(Youth Alcohol/Drug Prevention & Education)


This grant funded position will be responsible for assisting the director in mobilizing Winnebago County and the three school districts in the county to address youth substance use issues.  Duties will include, but not be limited to: meeting with and mobilizing all sectors of the community, facilitating coalition services and programs, assisting in managing grants, participating in statewide groups and working with the county coalition on prevention issues.

This position is part-time (32 hours per week) and will be offered a competitive wage and benefit package.  Office currently located at North Iowa School in Buffalo Center  with some local county travel required along with attending periodic national training conferences.  BA degree in related field preferred, or comparable experience required.

Minimum starting 2018-19 salary at 1.0 FTE = $39,485 and includes full single health insurance, long term disability, IPERS, and $1500 tax sheltered annuity contribution by the district.

  • Substitute Paraprofessionals
    • On Call, as needed = Substitute
    • $11.25 per hour
    • Assist special education students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of reinforcing learning concepts as assigned by the teacher
    • Perform general clerical duties for the purpose of helping the teacher get instructional materials ready
    • May be required to supervise recess, study tables, and/or social time
    • May be required to assist students with mobility and personal needs including but not limited to personal hygiene needs and/or toileting
    • Other duties as assigned ​
  • Substitute Teachers
    • Valid Iowa teaching or substitute license required

    • $110.00 per day or $55.00 per ½ day
