I grew up on an acreage west of Greene, IA, where I am the oldest of seven children. I graduated in 1994 from Greene Community Schools. I attended NIACC where I earned my AA degree and transferred to UNI, where I graduated from in Decemeber of 1998 with a BA in early childhood and elementary education. I earned an endorsement in school library science from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2006. I am in my sixteenth year as the media center specialist for North Iowa Community Schools. Along with those duties I teach Fifth through Eighth Grade Academic Technology Skills, Human Relations, and Essentials of Technology. Previous to this position I taught K-Prep for two years and substitute taught for a year and a half.
My husband, Scott and I live in rural Thompson. Scott farms and I enjoy helping him as often as possible. I enjoy helping with the spring musical and preparing for prom. Scott and I can be found behind the scorers bench on home game nights for football and basketball...Go Bison!! In my free time I like reading, baking, going to concerts and spending time with family and friends.
