Welcome to North Iowa Health Department
Mrs. Aukes is repsonsible for the provision of nursing services for the students and employees of the North Iowa School District. She also assists with the health education needs of students and employees. Mrs. Aukes is certified to teach Health Occupations at the high school level. Teaching individuals to make healthy choices is key to living a healthy, happy and productive life.
She graduated Cum Laude from Minnesota State Unviersity with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. Additional graduate courses were taken at the U of I and UNI to obtain licensure from the State Department of Education to teach general Health Occuaptions, Health Occupations-Nurse Aide and Practical Nursing grade 5-12. Her credentials include being an adjunct professor at NIACC where she teaches EMS and BLS courses. Her previous work experiences include nursing in a long-term care facility, hospital and public health.
Mrs. Aukes interests outside of work include cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She is a volunteer member of the Buffalo Center Ambulance Department and attends the First Refomed Church. Doug, her husband farms and she is the mother of Brooke, Wade and Bridget.

Parents use the above pdf to access your child's immunization record. IRIS is Iowa's computerized statewide immunization system. All immunizations given in Iowa are entered in the system. If your child received immunizations in antoher state, you will need to contact the out of state clinic to obtain your child's shot record.
The school is not required to keep immunization records after graduation. Immunization records for graduating seniors are mailed to parents with a letter stating to file the record in a safe location.
This is required by the state for all Gr. K and Gr. 9 students. Kindergarten screening must occir no earlier than age 3 and no later than 4 months after enrollment (12/20/2015). Freshman screening must occur no earlier than 1 year before enrollment and no later than 4 months after enrollment(12/20/2015) Please print form to mail to your child's dentist for completion. Your child's dentist can fax the form to Deb Aukes RN at 641-562-2921.
