Hello, this is my seventh year teaching grades 1 -12 art at North Iowa. I also coach middle school wrestling with the Forest City coaches. I practice two teaching beliefs: (1) I will never ask a student/athlete to do something that I wouldn't be willing to do myself; or haven't already done myself. (2) I will never tell my students/athletes to do something that doesn't work.
I have taught K-12 art and PSEO college level art for 14 years in Minnesota. I also was a 7-12 High School Principal for five years in Minnesota. I have taught graduate level "Administrative Ethics" & "Principal Intern Placement & Supervision" for St. Mary's University, Minneapolis, MN. I also was the Superintendent/Principal of the school & vocational learning center at Prairie Correctional Facility in Appleton, MN.
My wife, Keri is the 7-12 Middle/High School Principal at North Iowa High School. We recently bought a home in Buffalo Center, IA.
In my spare time I like to read, travel, fish, hunt, and enjoy or suffer through the Twins & Vikings.
Please feel free to access my professional qualifications on my administrative experience & instructional experience documents, listed below.
